Building Personality into your Presence

Leadership Resources commissions Emma Thompson to create an engaging online presence to convert new clients.
Category: What has Emma Thompson been up to?

When Ken Minor, founder of Leadership Resources, got in touch, his aim was to ensure his website reflected the company's personality and its entire offering to the customer in a straightforward way. Customers had been telling him for some time that what appeared on his website simply did not reflect the service or values delivered in the development programmes provided by Leadership Resources.

Having interviewed Ken to get an understanding of the character and language which should be used and the aspects of the website that should remain, the website was re-worded and the themes included in Ken's Linked-In page. A new case study was also produced entitled Ellisons: from paternalism to professionalism to demonstrate the diversity of clients which engage Leadership Resources.

The site was developed to encourage readers to explore between pages and encourage them to stay longer and find out what Leadership Resources is all about.

Ken was encouraged to invite feedback from existing clients and colleagues before the content was finally signed off to ensure that the website would have the right impact and attract the sort of clients with whom Leadership Resources wanted to work.  The content was then handed over to a website developer for the final optimisation and layout.

"The greatest benefit of working with Emma on this project was her ability to challenge my thought processes and put into words what was in my head. It was really useful to simply check out ideas and bounce them around ... I even did some of it myself after Emma had cleared by 'addled' brain.

"I feel the website has a more 'joined-up' approach which reflects the passion that we at Leadership Resources feel about what we do and, more importantly, what makes us different from all of the others. Thanks Emma for switching the lights on!"
